Patxi Buldain is born in Pamplona, in 1927. In 1948, after deserting the army, he goes into exile to France. He, then, settles in the city of Lille, where he gets to see the original works of great artists such us Manet, Cèzanne, Matisse, Roualt and others.
Once in Paris, he moves into the district of Montmartre and lives together with the French Bohemians of that time. He meets Albert Camus, Jean Paul Sartre and a splendorous Picasso, with whom he shares a collective exhibition.
